Recently, with the growing demand of adult education for graduate and post-graduate diploma programs, CMA has arranged with reputable universities in UK, USA and Canada to offer the Distance Learning Programs in Hong Kong, through its local well-established institutes.

Over the past 29 years, CMA

  1. sets up The Asia Pacific CEO Association under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The Honorary Patrons are The Most Hon. The Marquis of Huntly, Member of The House of Lords (UK) and The Honourable Helen Sham-Ho, Member of The Legislative Council and Temporary Chairman of Committees, Australia;

  2. sets up The Chartered Management Association under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The Honorary Patron is The Honourable Helen Sham-Ho, Member of The Legislative Council and Temporary Chairman of Committees, Australia. Honorary Presidents include The Honourable Dr. O.S.K. Kizango, MP, Member of Parliament (國會議員 );

  3. sets up The University of Oregon Continuing Education Program Associates (Hong Kong) under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The Honorary President is Dr. Tam Win-Kun, BBS, MBE, JP, Honorary Consul for the Republic of Kenya in Hong Kong & Macau, 原國際獅子總會港澳 303 區總監 ;

  4. sets up The Faculty of Secretaries And Administrators (Hong Kong Branch) under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The Faculty was founded in UK in 1930;

  5. sets up The Chartered Association of Directors under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The Honorary Patron is The Honourable Helen Sham-Ho, Member of The Legislative Council and Temporary Chairman of Committees, Australia. Honorary Presidents are include The Honourable Dr. O.S.K. Kizango, MP, Member of Parliament (國會議員);

  7. sets up The Canadian Institute of Certified Administrative Managers (Hong Kong Branch) under  the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The Patron of the Hong Kong Branch is Dr. Albert E. Ballantyne, Executive Director CICAM (Canada);

  8. sets up The Faculty of Business Management (Hong Kong Branch) under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government;

  9. helps to promote for The Tsing Hua University, Beijing, China (北京清華大學) Study Course in Hong Kong;

  10. brings The Institute of Commercial Management, UK to Hong Kong since 1984. The President is The Most Hon. The Marquis of Huntly, Member of the House of Lords (UK);

  11. brings The Society of Business Practitioners, UK to Hong Kong since 1984. The Society was founded in UK in 1956;

  12. sets up The Society of Business Practitioners (Hong Kong Branch) under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government; and

Apart from the above, CMA also

  • has represented various Universities and Professional Bodies from USA, Canada, UK and Australia in Hong Kong;

  • acts as the Business Consulting Group in Hong Kong to provide business and related services at top management level to the large and middle-sized companies in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas;

  • has helped to promote for The Peking University, China (北京大學) Study Course in Hong Kong;

  • brings a series of Graduate Diploma Programs in Management and related disciplines such as Management, Marketing and Quality Management of the Central Connecticut State University, USA to Hong Kong;

  • sets up the Hong Kong Chapter of Alumni Association of The Central Connecticut State University, USA;

  • brings the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Degree of the University of Ottawa, Canada to Hong Kong. This is the first Canadian Executive MBA Degree Program offered in Hong Kong;

  • brings the Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Degree of the Mount Saint Vincent University, Canada to Hong Kong. This is the first Canadian University offering Bachelor Degree Program in Hong Kong;

  • brings the Bachelor Degree Program of the Charter Oak State College, Connecticut, USA to Hong Kong. This is the first Bachelor Degree Program offered by one of the major U.S. State Colleges in Hong Kong;

  • brings (i.) the Advanced Certificates in International Management, and in International Marketing of the University of Oregon, USA to Hong Kong. The University is ranked as one of the Top Sixty Universities in USA and the University's College of Business Administration program ranks one of the Top Twenty among the Universities in USA;

  • brings the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM), Canada to Hong Kong.

  • sets up the Far East Satellite Office of the Canadian Institute of Management, Canada in Hong Kong;

  • brings the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Degree Program of the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, USA to Hong Kong. This is the first EMBA program offered by one of the top State Universities in Hong Kong. There are 33 students who have successfully completed all the program requirements and graduated in April, 1996;

  • brings the Faculty of Secretaries And Administrators, UK to Hong Kong. The Faculty was founded in UK in 1930;

  • brings the Canadian Institute of Certified Administrative Managers, Canada to Hong Kong;

  • brings the Faculty of Business Management, UK to Hong Kong;

  • brings The Association of Practising Accountants, Australia to Hong Kong; and

  • Co-operates / has co-operated with :--
    • (i) Hong Kong Productivity Council (established under Statue of The Hong Kong SAR Government), which has been offering programs leading to the Diploma in Business Administration and Graduate Diploma in Management Studies of the Institute of Commercial Management, UK since 1993.

    • (v) ABRS Professional Learning Services (a well-established Group properly registered with the Hong Kong Education Department), which has been offering the MBA programme of the University of Sydney, Australia in Hong Kong,

    • (vii) YMCA, and
    • (viii) United Oriental College ( a well-established college properly registered with the Hong Kong Education Department ) to provide distance learning training programs to Hong Kong executives;

Future Developments

  • To develop and promote potential business and investment opportunities for a variety of countries in the Far East.
  • To offer programs with various partners in China, especially in Peking, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Shanghai.
