The Chartered Management Association is a non-profit making professional association. In its continuing effort to provide opportunities for its students/members to upgrade and improve business skills, The
Chartered Management Association grants Professional qualifications to practitioners in the Business and Professional Sectors. Successful completion of the Certificate/Diploma Programmes endorsed by the Association, meets the
academic requirements for Professional Membership. In addition to the fulfillment of the academic requirements, applicants must have been employed in the business industry for at least three years. Professional Members of the
Association are entitled to use the professional designation 'MCHMA'.
Members who are CEOs, Company Directors or General Managers and who have had a minimum of 10 years' experience in business or in a management field, 5
years of which have been at least at senior executive level, and must be able to demonstrate, by job title or other, that the post involves responsibility and authority for determining and directing policy, meet the requirements
for membership as a Fellow of the Association, and are entitled to use the professional designation 'FCHMA'. Senior Educationalists and civil servants may also apply for Fellowship. Member is a person who has
satisfied the Council that he/she is a fully qualified manager of a business department to deal with all matters relating to day-to-day running of the department. A member must be able to demonstrate practical and qualified
knowledge of a business discipline and must have held a management position, involving control of staff, for a period of not less than 5 years.
Members of The Chartered Management Association can apply to subscribe for 'The
Manager", Journals of the Institute of Commercial Management, UK. The Journals cover International Management and Marketing issues relating to professional matters pertaining to business, comments, reports, planning,
techniques, updates of international affairs, and new upcoming technologies manufactured for business industries globally etc. Hundreds of Business Professionals in Hong Kong have earned the right and are proved to use the
designatory letters MCHMA and FCHMA in their business cards. |
